Synopsis:
Studious and (mostly) sensible, the only thing Molly Wakefield wants to do is get through Senior Year and graduate. Well, that and hit the beach in her spare time. Okay, fine - and go shopping every once in a while for a new dress... (and who could blame her?)
And things are going according to plan - until the day she spies Weston McGrath, handsome star athlete and scholar, spying on her in study hall.
A tad creepy? Maybe.
Thrilling? Absolutely.
You see, Weston McGrath happens to be one guy no one can get close to.
Despite her best efforts to avoid it (because let's face it - the guy isn't exactly "boyfriend material") Mollly and Weston form a friendship.
And more....
Sort of.
But it's a friendship that comes with a price - because Weston just cannot seem to stop screwing things up. Or saying all the wrong things. Possibly in that order...
And who has time for an 18 year old "fixer-upper" that should know better?
Not Molly.
Or does she?
This is book one and includes chapter one of book two, He Kissed Me First. This book is a stand-alone with no cliffhanger.
My Opinions:
*4.5 Stars*
This was such an amazing young-adult romance that I really enjoy because there was also sports in it which was hella hot!! This was my first Sara Ney's book and my second hockey story, and it was just as amazing but it wasn't like the first one since this was a young-adult!!! Her books has dual point-of-view of the male and female main character and reading in book characters point of view was just amazing.
Molly Wakefield is just like the typical female character that doesn't get involve with the popular boys until the day that she notice Weston watching her from top to bottom in the library during their studying period and from that day on, he would continue stalking her during the hallway. I really enjoy how Molly wasn't like the other girl that would involve herself with popular boys but they would secretly have a crush on them. The attraction between Weston and Molly is just deniable and I love that even though she is trying her best to stay away from Weston, but every time he approach her then she would try and make a conversation with him so that their situation would not become awkward and it would not show her affection towards him.
Weston McGarth is the top player on his team and even though they are still in high school, he and his teammates mostly acted like college assholes and they get what they wanted until he came upon Molly in the library and her legs. The first moment he saw her, he already had impure thoughts about her which I mean he's a high school hockey player being familiar with getting everything he want such as getting laid with girl so his first impression of Molly was like all the other impressions he made on the other girls. I love Weston so much and how he tried his best to get Molly's attention and act as her boyfriend even though he doesn't do the girlfriend thing with other girls because of many reasons. Even though there may be some problems that would pop up with him, but he would try his best to solve it and make all the people he cared about happy.
This was such an amazing read and it also persuaded me to read more of Sara's books because if she can write such an amazing young-adult sports romance, then I am hoping to read all her other romance books.
