When I first read the synopsis for this book, I was really into read it because it sounded really interesting. I was really into reading a second chance romance where the male character has to grovel to finally get back together with the female character. Tia Siren is an amazing author and I really hope to read more of her books.
Lara is getting a divorce with her husband after she found out that he cheated on her with another woman on their bed. However, after getting a divorce with her husband, Lara realized that she is growing older by the day and she still haven't gave birth to any baby yet. She then decided that she can't trust anymore men, so the only way for her to get pregnant is through the IVF program. This is until she met her first love, Mason, again as her doctor who would help her through with her treatment. Lara's character is really independent but at some moment in the book, I found that her character can be really annoying. I really don't understand how she could be with Mason but she doesn't want to have his baby which was really confusing. I really don't know if her love for Mason was real or fake but the only thing that I know is that her passion for having a baby was real.
Mason left Lara because of her protective brother and how he doesn't want him to hurt her feeling, so he has to be brave and walk away from her. This is until he met Lara again and found out that she wanted to have a baby through the IVF program. Leaving Lara years ago still remained a painful experience for him, so after meeting her again, he made it his goal to finally win her heart after realizing that she got a divorce with her husband. I really love Mason's character and I got to see his passion towards his job and the love he has for Lara. Mason was the only character that actually shows how much he love Lara and I really love how much he actually cares about Lara when she only wanted a baby.
Overall, this was a good read and it made me want to read more second chance romance.
