Synopsis:

USA Today Bestselling author, Pamela DuMond, pitched the real-life ERIN BROCKOVICH story to ‘Hollywood’, where it became the hit movie.

Now she brings you the steamy, standalone, Rom-Com THE MATCHMAKER: A Playing Dirty Novel.

Aiden Black thought he’d left his past behind when he abandoned the priesthood. He channeled his desire to help others by creating WGA -- Chicago’s premiere matchmaking agency. Aiden’s the expert at finding true love for his clients but he’s put his own needs on hold for a Very. Long. Time.

Violet Accardi doesn’t want to settle down and be a Mafia princess – she’s busy building her own sportswear company. Problem is her family’s a bit controlling: Mom wants grand babies. Uncle Vincent promised Violet’s hand in marriage to the son of a rival family and attempts to kidnap her at the WGA Christmas party.

Aiden shuts down the first kidnapping attempt by pretending to be Violet’s fiancรฉ. He’s smoking hot, such a gentleman, and their chemistry is through the roof. Violet wonders what could it hurt to pretend to be in love with a gorgeous, classy, romantic guy -- for just one night?

But Uncle Vincent calls their bluff, popping them both on a private jet headed to the Accardi home in Sicily for the holidays.

Life for Violet and Aiden is about to become more complicated...

My Opinions:

*3.5 Stars*
When I first started reading this book, I found it to be really interesting because it began with a man at his party coming to rescue of a woman who was about to be kidnapped by another man, however this story made a shift that I didn't even expect which to most people would find this story interesting, but for me, I found it to be very confusing at times.

*Spoilers*
Violet Accardi signed up as a client at White Glove Matchmaking Agency; however at their party, she was kidnapped and was  escorted from the party by one of her Uncle's guard in regard to her marriage with one of her grandpa's chosen man so that they can handle the bloodpact and come to a compromise. Okay, as for this part of the story, it was the one thing that drew me in from the beginning however as the stories progressed, I felt like we got to learn more about Violet's family rather than her relationship with Aiden. When I read the part about Violet's family, I found that I had lost interest and could not really focus on the story and plus everything that happened in Violet's family look almost like 3/4 of the book; however, my perspective begin to change when the story shifted back to Violet and Aiden's relationship because I was more invested in the story and found that everything they were together, it was just perfection.

Aiden Black was a co-owner of the White Glove Matchmaking Agency and he started this company as a way to give back or to provide life service by helping others and I really love that aspect; however, when he would forced by Uncle Vincent, Violet's uncle, to travel with them or he would do something to his sister and her wife, he would then embark on a journey with Violet to meet her family. But on the plane ride there and at their vacation house, it's mostly him having or listening to the conversations of the Accardi family instead of proposing to have a chat with Violet. I also felt the Aiden's reason to start doing life service was really stupid and how it had a major impact on why he chose his career to help people with matchmaking. I mean I was really interested in finding out his reason for wanting to help people find their love, but like I didn't really see it and I mean he made it seem like he was really sad and all but I didn't have the same mutual feelings as he did. Also I think the ending was kind of rush like how Violet and Aiden's relationship began to progress and how he decided to jump through her window so that he could sleep with her. I don't know about y'all but that would be really creepy.

Oh well, now that I've read this book, I am kind of put into a book slump and I can't really pick up a book and would find it as interesting to read. I feel like every time I pick up a book now, I am just scanning through the pages to find the most interesting part but I hope that after reading another book it will help me with reading more romance.

Where to get this book?
