He’s a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. Now he’s going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

My Opinions:

*4.5 Stars*
This was my second Elle Kennedy book and I had so much expectations for this book since "The Deal" was such a great book. I still love Garrett and Hannah so much after reading "The Deal", so reading "The Mistake" I expected so much more from Logan and Grace. However, I still love the plot of this book and it was overall an easy read.

Logan still bearing a crush on Hannah even though she is in a relationship with Garrett has been trying to avoid them every time those two were together. When he was invited to go to a party, Logan would do whatever it took to get away Garrett and Hannah and at this party, he was able to meet Grace Ivers, a freshman at Briar University, and they were able to get to know each other. I love the friendship that Logan and Grace has developed with each other and I also adorable how Logan relationship developed with Grace just like Garrett's relationship develop with Hannah. However, I think they got intimate with each other to quickly even though Logan was a playboy but like their intimacy should develop slowly like their relationship. This all changed when Logan reveal the truth as to why he doesn't want to hang out with Grace any further . . .

Grace being a freshman in college got to know Logan and all the popular kids on the hockey team pretty well and she was the only one who found Logan to be the cutest guy to the team. However, after getting close to Logan and then being betrayed by him made her feel like the stupidest person in the world. Okay, I'm going to have to stop there because girl you need to get a hold of yourself, he never said that he loved you or he wanted a relationship with you. Grace wanted to give away her first time with the man that she is able to spend the rest of her life with and so she thought that after four or five conversation with Logan made her think that he was the man of her life then she is so wrong. I mean I felt bad for her for what she did, but I found it kind of amusing (sorry if this is mean). I really just could not connect with her like how I did with Hannah, Grace's character just seems really irritating to my eyes. I guess I just don't see eye to eye with Logan dating a freshman while most of his friends are dating or hanging out with the people their age.

However, I am still on the move to read The Score and The Goal because I love their trop so much and how the girls were in their grade level so I can kind of appreciate that. Elle Kennedy is such an amazing author and I can't wait for her spin off to be released.

Where to get this book?
