*5 Stars* Fairytales always played an important part in my childhood, so being able to read one of my favorite fairytales in a real life YA paranormal retelling is definitely a dream come true.

Marissa Davenport has been living on the island of Hawaii all her life until a single night changed her life and now she has 3 months to figure a way out of everything. However... rules are simple: “Make the boy who owns your heart confesses his love to you by the last full moon.” Yet to Marissa, this is a difficult task because now she has to put in all her effort or risk losing everything and everyone.
When I read the first 20% of this book, I never thought it would slowly pull me in and held my captive. I was so attached to Marissa’s character and how she was fighting to get the boy she loved all her life to confess his love to her. I’ve got to say that I am really happy with how this story turned out. I love the affection the male lead had towards Marissa but she was so blind that she couldn’t see him. At first, he did not give me the prince in a knight in shining armor image but he definitely grew on me throughout the story and I couldn’t have wished for anything better.

Anna B. Doe grew on me after I read “Lines” by her. “Lines” was everything that I wanted in a romance/ second chance story. So being able to read “Underwater” was something that I never expected and I was so happy to have received this ARC from the author.
